Our traditional shepherd’s hut sits in its own private newly planted fruit orchard. From the veranda you can gaze at the wildflowers and the bright purples and oranges of the sunset, whilst keeping a watchful eye on our sheep.
The shepherd’s hut has a luxurious double bed and comfortably sleep two. It is fully insulated and at its heart is the wood burning stove… using our own seasoned wood, it will have you tingling with warmth, even on a cold night. With a self contained kitchen, the shepherd’s hut has everything you need for a cosy and peaceful stay.
Blankets, luxurious bedding, towels and toiletries are all provided for.

Outside the shepherd’s hut is a dining area with fire pit, perfect for toasting marshmallows.
You have your own private shower room which is located adjacent to the parking area. Please note it’s a couple of minutes walk from the shepherd’s hut to the parking area and shower room. A trolley can be provided to carry belongings.
The shepherd’s hut has been designed for a luxurious stay, whist being low impact on the environment. Power sockets are included and an electric tap provides cold and hot pumped water from a storage tank for washing up. Bottled water is provided for drinking. In addition to the shower room, a compost toilet is located next to the shepherd’s hut for those night time trips to the loo.

What People Say
We stayed two nights in the shepherd’s hut on Sarah’s farm. The hut itself was very well done, everything thought of, very clean, lovely location looking at the sunset. Having the highland cows in the field behind us was a highlight. Sarah was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend you stay also.

We had a fantastic stay at the shepherd’s hut. Sarah was extremely quick and helpful to respond at all times. The hut was even better than it looked in the photos and clearly a lot of thought had gone into the layout as everything that you could need was available. The breakfast and BBQ boxes were phenomenal too – incredibly high quality meat! Overall a fantastic stay – we couldn’t recommend it enough.
Vicky from Cardiff
We had never stayed in a shepherd’s hut before our weekend here, and were unsure what to expect. But we needn’t have worried, our weekend here was fantastic and provided us with a most peaceful and relaxing stay.
Sarah was incredibly welcoming and the bbq and breakfast packs we purchased were delicious. She was also kind enough to let us accompany her around the farm as she fed the chickens and goats. Our highlight however were the 5 highland cows who inhabited the field behind us who we eventually befriended by the end of our stay, particularly Cora.
Overall a lovely weekend filled with the peace of nature, good food and fresh air. If you are looking for a peaceful weekend away from it all, then we cannot recommend Sarah’s shepherds hut highly enough!Chloe from Barry
