Our yurt stays up all year round, experiencing sun, rain, wind and even snow! So after nearly 5 years it was time to replace the yurt canvas. We also added a new waterproof membrane, which sits between the insulation layer and the canvas to give an extra layer of protection. And we upgraded the crown and replaced all the strappings and ropes, over 100 metres in total! Thanks to my mum for her sewing skills and knot tying expertise and to Fed for the extra pair of hands unfurling the canvas!
